Egger work hard to ensure that they adhere to high environmental standards, striving to ensure responsible use of wood, the raw material, as well as utilising resource conserving manufacturing processes. The focus is on a closed material cycle. In their pursuit of sustainability, Egger also uses recycled wood where possible when making their wood-based material reproductions.
Egger has come a long way from the melamine faced boards they are well known for. Laminates are now a huge part of their business and we are a huge believer in the Egger laminate range and the potential that it has.
Egger gives priority to the processing of wood from FSC® and PEFC™ certified forests. All wood purchased is monitored with a strict control process within the scope of the EUTimberReg and other forest certification systems.
Furthermore, Egger is increasingly procuring wood through their own forestry companies, meaning they can trace the origins of the wood all the way back to the tree.
