We are pretty darn chuffed with our Homag KAL 370 edgebander (also known as the EDGETEQ S-500).
This impressive technology represents Homag's response to the growing diversity of materials being used within our industry and is the perfect accompaniment to our existing edgebanding machines.
The technical bit...
This nifty machine achieves consistently perfect edge quality. It is a simple process - the board is trimmed to ensure a smooth application surface, a thin (yet super strong) layer of hot glue is then applied to the board. The PU glue system can optionally be used for high-resistance, waterproof and heatproof gluing results. The edging is then applied.
AND here's the best bit - ANY kind of edging that is customarily used within our industry can be applied, including (but not limited to): Melamine, PVC, ABS solid wood, acrylic and veneer.
Profiling is a cinch and a variety of profiles are available, including square and rounded edges.
An internal grooving unit means we can add grooves to both the edging AND the board. Groovy (sorry).
Finally, the finished product is cleaned and buffed to ensure your edged board is looking just how you want it.
We also offer edge slitting, so you can get bespoke edging widths. Handy for the those tailored edging sizes that are in high demand.
